Dr. Angelina Uzor (M.D.)
Founder & Director
Dr. Angelina Uzor is a physician, children’s environmental health advocate, and the founder of the Kids in Thriving Environments Initiative (KITE). With a strong background in medicine, public health outreach, and community empowerment, she founded KITE to address the environmental and health challenges that prevent children from reaching their full potential
Her work blends medical expertise, public health education, and grassroots leadership, creating programs that are both practical and transformative. Dr. Uzor is recognized for her innovative approach to child-centered environmental health — integrating WASH education, sanitation advocacy, and community engagement to build healthier futures for children.
Driven by compassion and a deep belief in equity, she leads KITE with the conviction that every child deserves dignity, safety, and opportunity, regardless of their background or circumstances.
KITE Initiative is a journey inspired by love and compassion, driven by a vision that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves a chance to dream, to flourish, and to build a brighter future. This journey was sparked by a commitment to children's environmental health and the belief that healthy environments shape healthy futures.
